The Power of Your Habits

I remember when I was a participant in an Ayurvedic health habits course like the one I now guide for women. One of the greatest "a-ha's" for me during that transformational process was when it clicked that ...

my habits determine how I feel.

Up until that point, I hadn't really connected the dots. As someone who has a tendency to analyze, I had a belief that any time I felt bad (anxious, depressed, discouraged by physical ailments) I needed to analyze and analyze and analyze what was wrong because it must be something very complex that I hadn't yet figured out.

It was SO incredibly refreshing and freeing to realize that 95% of the time, me feeling bad was simply the result of habit choices that didn't serve my greatest good.

I felt I could then release myself of an exhausting cycle of mental scrutiny, and instead turn my attention to the habits that support me in finding balance for my body, mind, and spirit.

-getting good rest

-feeling well-nourished

-breathing with ease

-moving my body in whatever ways feel good

-having space in my day for quiet time and reflection

-offering my mind loving and compassion thoughts

If I look back at how I came to that "a-ha", I see that it was through embodied experience. I had to really experiment with certain health habits and reap the rewards; feel the benefits in my own body and my mind. Then I knew it to be true that my habits really do determine how I feel.

But I also needed mentorship, community, and a compassionate, mindful perspective to make this discovery possible.

In The Nurturing You Experiment health habits course for women, participants receive:

  • the invitation to experiment with self care habits from the health system of Ayurveda.

  • a supportive container within which to run these experiments that lead to embodied knowing.

  • consistent coaching and accountability from me.

  • a sense of camaraderie and sisterhood from a community of women who share the common desire to prioritize their holistic wellness.

  • simple strategies from human behavioral science that make the process of habit integration doable and enjoyable.

The next round of The Nurturing You Experiment begins in September 2022. If you are ready to discover the power of your habits and give yourself the opportunity to develop your embodied wisdom, let's connect and see what's possible!

Spaces are limited, so now is a great time to reach out to create a positive path for your self care and wellness this coming fall!
